Fifty years ago Wilson began his distinguished West End career with the spectacular success of THE BOY FRIEND. To celebrate that occasion Bayview is proud to reissue the most complete selection of Sandy Wilson material available on disc. This CD not only features the Original London Cast recording of CALL IT LOVE, but also songs from THE BOY FRIEND, DIVORCE ME DARLING, VALMOUTH, THE BUCCANEER, HIS MONKEY WIFE, and first time recordings from SLINGS AND ARROWS, SEE YOU LATER, OH HENRY! and Wilson's unproduced adaptation of Christopher Isherwood's "Berlin Stories", GOODBYE TO BERLIN played and sung by the composer and recorded live at the Players Theatre, London. Additional bonus tracks include Wilson on piano with Art Greenslade and his Orchestra, playing selections from DIVORCE ME DARLING! and Fenella Fielding's "Outdoor Girl" from the revue PIECES OF EIGHT. |
